Why I hate this apartment - reason #652

Drunken idiots who throw bottles of cheap alcohol at our window at 3:45am.

  1. I'm not sure what is more offensive. The fact someone threw a bottle in your window or the fact that it was a bottle of WKD Blue.

  2. Oh my goodness, that is so horrible. I hope the landlord will sort it out asap.

  3. We've called the landlord, but haven't heard back from him yet.

  4. If you want somewhere to hang out in the mean time you know you're welcome here!

  5. Thanks Aisling! Other than the vile smell from the alcohol, it's not so bad in here. Fortunately the temps are fairly warm! On top of it all, Wes isn't feeling well. :(

  7. I am sorry, Kim. I hope your landlord takes care of this for you soon.

  8. We still haven't heard back from the landlord, which is highly annoying! Also, are we correct in thinking that it IS the landlord's responsibility, including the financial part?

  9. WOAH! That's crazy!!! I'm not familiar with Irish law, but I would assume that it's the landlord's responsibility to repair/ replace the window. Hope it's fixed soon.

    Stay warm!

  10. That's awful!!! I'm so sorry that happened to you. Yes, I would argue it's the landlord's responsibility to fix it. It the bottle went the other way, then it would be yours. Again, really sorry this happened to you.

  11. Holy moly! What a pain. Know what I'd do? I would call someone in to fix it ASAP, and then ask the landlord to reimburse you later. p.s. We're about a 10-15 minute walk from you in Stoneybatter if you get cold!

  12. Thanks guys! It hasn't been so bad because the weather's been fairly warm (relatively speaking of course!) and the landlord is already scheduled to come tomorrow to pick up the rent. The hole is at the very top of our Georgian window. I was going to put a piece of cardboard over it (adding to the ghetto-ness of it all), but I don't think either of us could reach it without a ladder.
